Description : As a Senior IT Business Analyst, the employee performs a complete range of information system business analyst assignments including, but not limited to, designing, developing, testing, and implementing computer systems and applications for AG, LEO-MIOSHA, LEO-MSHDA. This individual will be looked upon to provide technical support to other team members and evaluate new development tools and agency systems. Evaluate, document, and inform DTMB management and supported client agency of impact and risks, including disaster recovery planning, to existing IT solutions due to proposed legislation, enhancement requests, or changes in governmental processes or procedures. Actively participate in the development and implementation of assigned client agencys IT strategic direction/plan and collaborate with other DTMB staff to resolve client agency IT issues. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Knowledge of fundamental Project Management Methodology (PMM) • Knowledge of MS Project or other project-tracking tools • Knowledge of the fundamental concepts and operating principles of data communications and data processing hardware and software. • Knowledge of application development environments and related tools. • Knowledge of the principles, theories, techniques, and methodologies of data processing systems analysis. • Knowledge of object-oriented application design techniques and tools. • Knowledge of .Net application development tools. • Knowledge of Client-server environments • Knowledge of compliance with ADA • Ability to gather and analyze facts, defines problems, and devises solutions. • Ability to use programming procedures and techniques in the implementation of computer programs. • Ability to effectively make oral and written reports and presentations and prepare clear and concise graphs and charts. • Ability to conduct interviews and establish and maintain effective relationships with systems users. • Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and conduct correspondences related to the work. • Ability to communicate technical terminology at a level appropriate to the audience. • Ability to work under pressure.
