The DBA will provide database expertise in architecture, design and implementation of relational databases for applications utilizing Microsoft SQL Server. The DBA must have an in-depth knowledge of relational databases design and implementation for both OLTP, and OLAP. The DBA will be responsible for application data model design/review, Database version control, Database objects management, stored procedures design and code review, Database environment planning and implementation, ETL design and implementation, Database performance tuning, Database documentation, support and training. Specific Functions - Database technical design and architecture based on established standards - Review and testing of application databases developed both in-house, and by external vendor. - Setup, maintenance, and documentation of Development, QA and Staging database environment(s) on each given project. - Database backups in Development, QA and Staging database environments. - Version control of scripted DB objects using MS TFS and MS VS Database Edition. - Database builds, deployments, and promotion of DB object changes from Development to QA and Staging environments using MS TFS and MS VS Database Edition. - Database performance tuning and DB query optimization. - Cross training of both other DBAs and support staff. - SQL scripting for generation and auto population of test data. - ETL analysis, design, documentation and implementation. - Communications with Operations support staff on troubleshooting and repairing production issues REQUIRED: - In-depth knowledge of relational database, design, planning and implementation - In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2012 and other related tools such as T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Replication, Database mirroring and log shipping - In-depth knowledge of data modeling (ERD) utilizing MS SQL Server Management Studio, MS VS and/or MS Visio - Hands-on experience with MS VS Database Edition, TFS, SQL Server Management Studio, and other MS SQL Tools. - Working knowledge of the entire Software Development Life Cycle - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Creativity and self-motivation - Ability to learn new technologies and take on responsibility - Ability to work independently and in a team environment with aggressive timetables   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
