The Product Owner has the following responsibilities in a Scaled Agile Environment: • Leadership o Deciding what and what not to build. o Giving feedback to the development teams: ? during the sprint regarding work accomplished. ? about their process and interactions. o Providing and teaching of Mechanical CBM Business to the development team. • Participating o Participating in Scrum meetings: ? Giving feedback regarding the achievement of the sprint goal in the sprint review. o Reflecting and taking action as a team member in the sprint retrospective. o Informing, helping and learning in the daily scrum. o Helping the team to continuously improve their process. • Learning o Continuing to learn about everything Agile o Exchanging constantly with other product owners in the organization o Using the product. o Learning and refining your products whole value stream o Measuring progress (e.g. value delivered to clients in each sprint). • Market/Customers/Stakeholders o Observing, learning about and analyzing the market. o Observing, learning about, contacting and analyzing customers and end users of the product. o Keeping in touch with every stakeholder of the product regularly. o Report to management and stakeholders (e.g. release burndown). o Sharing insights throughout the company regarding the product. • Miscellaneous o Making the customers happy. o Finding a suitable: ? definition of done ? definition of ready. o Tighten every feedback loop regarding the product (e.g. release often, release early, talk to customers, Minimal Marketable Product, etc.). o Turning ideas into further products, ideally MVPs. Desired Skills and Experience • Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience. • 5+ years experience coordinating or serving on multi-team projects, and working in cross-functional teams or environments. • 5+ years experience in business and solution development and project delivery in a scaled agile environment.
