The role performs as a leader of business analysts and as a business analyst in determining business requirements and user needs for developing solutions. The role assesses quality of design and enhancement to existing operational systems with extended solutions, which promote architecture continuous improvement. Designs or customizes software for optimizing operational efficiency and improving business processes, working individually or as part of a team on medium to large scale projects. Supports all users of application systems, timely implementation of and ongoing maintenance of applications, and provides the opportunity for enhanced user productivity. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Debug, program and test computer systems and applications. 2. Support and install software applications, including on on-call support. 3. Demonstrate effective use of time management and management reporting skills. 4. Ability to lead a team and mobilize project teams to create a project plan and schedules for applications delivery. 5. Interact and communicate (oral and written) effectively with customers, team members, management and vendors. 6. Demonstrates and supports the Methodist vision, mission and value statements. 7. Demonstrates and supports the Methodist customer service standards. 8. Adheres to system, division and department policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. 9. Works with customer to develops test plans, performs impact analysis, and submits change management summaries for changes made to applications and systems. 10. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar field or two year technical degree. Equivalent combination of experience and education. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Between 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in programming, analysis, and/or implementation; intermediate project management skills. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED Cloverleaf Certification Required. Level I, II or III Epic Bridges Certification SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED 1. 5-10 years experience implementing enterprise level projects and system administration with Quovadx/Cloverleaf Integration Engine. 2. Ability to immediately support Cloverleaf applications (Quovadx) on an AIX platform. Knowledge of the following operating systems is also helpful - Windows 2000 and 2003 platforms. Some experience functioning as a Cloverleaf administrator is also helpful, but not required. 3. Thorough knowledge, understanding, and experience with Health Level 7 (HL7) message structures (versions 2.2 and 2.3). Knowledge or familiarity of HL7 configurations for various Epic Applications. 4. Expert in KSH scripting, TCL/TK scripting and basic knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, FTP, API ODBC. Includes ODBC connectivity and the necessary calls to an SQL database. 5. Ability to assess performance of application environments in review of operating systems, application software, database performance, and communications throughput. 6. Ability to support and troubleshoot disparate applications in a multi-platform environment. Possesses excellent analytical skills and can facilitate data flow between Cloverleaf and these applications in a client/server environment. 7. Experience in Project Management of applications development teams and leadership of interface delivery teams in areas of Quovadx/Cloverleaf Integration with HL7 interfaces delivery.
