Technical Skills: Expert-level experience with Enterprise Network Routing Architectures, Protocols and Technologies: o TCP/IP, EIGRP, RIP, BGP, OSPF, Static Routing, MPLS, ATM, Gigabit Ethernet, Frame Relay Expert-level experience with large L3/L2 network design and development: o STP/RSTP, VTP, IOS, NX-OS and hardware. Strong knowledge of QoS, Multicasting and Web server load traffic balancing with L4-L7 services: o Netscaler Load Balancing excellent network troubleshooting and repair skills. Expert-level experience of VPN and firewall Technologies: o CheckPoint VPN with other Vendors. Strong Unix knowledge and experience: o Linux, IPSO and secure platform. Expert-level knowledge of Network Management Tools, Monitoring and Troubleshooting Products (SNMP): o NAI Sniffer Products, Cisco Works Strong Operational Support skills and knowledge of Cisco core products: o 2800, 3750, 4000, 6500 Switches, 7200 Routers, Nexus 1000V, Nexus 5000, Nexus 7000 Strong knowledge of Voice and Video Applications over IP Networks (H.323 and SIP). Excellent documentation skills with Visio schematics. Strong knowledge of Cisco Wireless and WAN Optimization Technologies. Work Experience: Legg Mason Co., Baltimore, MD 2000 Present Senior Network Engineer Manage MPLS based WAN International network with two ISPs (AT&T and Verizon) supporting the following offices: Baltimore, Norden, San Francisco, Miami, Toronto, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Melbourne, Sidney and Singapore. Design and implement L-3 routing for dynamic failover between data centers and remote offices. Research and design the most efficient way to load balance voice and data traffic between AT&T and Verizon MPLS connections for remote offices. Develop designs for data centers and remote offices, including well detailed project plans, solid test plans and SOEs. Work with vendors and client contacts. Incorporate network management considerations. Design, provide technical support for and work closely with subsidiaries to ensure successful separation from core data centers. Serve as a technical lead and team member on this large network project. Provide number of presentations on design, implementation plan to subsidiaries. Routing optimization. Design, configure and test L-3 routing using OSPF, EIGRP and BGP between data centers, remote offices, Internet and across MPLS WAN circuits (Verizon and AT&T MPLS clouds). Design ACLs to replace some exiting policy rules for subsidiaries. Configure HSRP and GLBP on all switches at the core and remote locations. L-2 network design. Upgrade switches from STP to RSTP.
