The duties of this position can be broad and may include such tasks as installing new workstations and other devices, adding and removing individuals from the list of authorized users, archiving files, overseeing password protection and other security measures, monitoring usage of shared resources, and handling malfunctioning equipment. Selects, develops, integrates and implements network management applications for Internet components. Works on projects/systems/issues of medium to high complexity. Provides daily operations support, maintenance and administration for network systems. 5 Education Bachelors Degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. 6 Experience 1. Must have experience with: Server 2008 and 2012 2. IIS Administration 3. Network communications, including TCP/IP and DNS Samba/CIFS file sharing and NTFS permissions 4. Citrix and the Information Builders, Inc – WebFOCUS/iWay reporting environment is a plus 5. 3 to 5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments in network operations, support, maintenance and administration 6. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation systems and applications 7 Primary Job Duties/ Tasks This resource will primarily be tasked with performing windows server and application software support activities for BSSO including, but not limited to the following: Support and expand FDOT infrastructure 1. Coordinate server configuration and administration with multiple parties (SSRC, FDOT, and contractors) 2. Troubleshoot end user (FDOT and the general public) issues 3.
