Job Description : Position: QA Manual Tester Location: Austin, TX Contract: Up to 18 months (W-2) Pay rate: $40-45/hr Requirements for Tester Our client is looking for a Tester with a minimum 2 years experience as a tester. Must have completed understanding full testing strategy and approach for their most current project. As Test team member, the candidate will be expected to completely understand business requirements of the system and different integration points that will be tested, be able to work with software vendor/s and off-shore team, be able to interact with off-shore team member, provide weekly status report on progress of the project, and work with minimal supervision. Requirements: Testing Skills Responsible for testing and evaluating the software applications and systems that address the business requirements. Experience in writing testing strategy and approach documents. Experience in developing and executing test cases and test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications and executing it. Experience in multiple system integration testing. Experience recording and documenting results and comparing to expected results. Ability to detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected. Ability to generate historical analysis of test results and document anomalies and issues. Experience maintaining database of software defects. Experience managing their test execution in test management tool. Ensure compliance with general programming best practices, accepted web standards and those standards set forth by upstream sources. Perform application security audits. Ability to ensure data integrity standards. Ability to perform reviews and walkthroughs. Experience coordinating testing activities across teams supporting multiple lines of business; Work with Development and other internal team to report and resolve issues, identify risks, and ensure defects are resolved. Complete understanding of testing roles and responsibilities of different user-set define in the system and being able to create test cases and scenarios for different user group in different bank roles. Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation, writing and communication skills. Experience in understanding business requirements for testing. Experience in developing use cases. Works well in a team environment. Works with subject matter experts, project managers, other business analysts and vendors to identify upcoming changes to plans, requirements, and schedule. Able to identify, document and communicate any software problems and issues with the team and the vendor Financial Experience Experience working as a tester in a financial environment will be the most ideal candidate. Experience in understanding the following: Commercial and consumer mortgage loan origination processes. Different roles performed in bank (Loan Admin, Loan Officer, Credit Officer) Loan servicing processes. Loan disbursement processes. Technical Skills Knowledge of Microsoft Tools (MS Office, MS Visio, etc.) Knowledge of software implementation methodologies (i.e. SDLC, RUP, Waterfall, Agile) Knowledge of Automated Testing tools (HP UFT, Selenium, MTM) Knowledge of software tools (Microsoft TFS, JIRA) Optional (Preferred and nice to have) Skills Knowledge of bankin   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
