System assignments will include maintaining and updating the SC Voucher program, the Investigations application, and will serve as a member of the team for the larger integrated Child Care Services System development (CCSS). This position may be assigned to additional system development projects as needed to support the Agency and the Early Care and Education program. The SC Voucher system is a .net application rewritten as a one for one code migration from Clipper. The system documents information from applicants to the Voucher program, documents information about any providers receiving funds from the program, and supplies tracking, reporting, document (letter) generation, and includes a payment subsystem. This position will server a primary role in any modifications to the SC Voucher system and provide ongoing support to the Voucher program. The Child Care Services System (CCSS) is a project that is replacing several different Child Care Systems with a newer framework that integrates functions and reporting into one system. This position will also play a role in the development efforts for the Child Care Services System and will assist in planning and integrating the SC Voucher and Investigation functions into the CCSS. The Investigations system is an older .net application that is scheduled for revision during 2019/2020. The system maintains information documenting results of background (fingerprint) checks submitted for potential or current staff in Child Care facilities. The system has a data transfer component that allows the background check provider to query the Agency systems for valid facility identities and pass background check results into the agency via FTP upload. The planned changes will bring the design for the user interface in line with the Child Care Services System and improve integration of results sharing between the Child Care Licensing modules and the Investigations module.
