You will: In close liaison with other architects, customers, delivery teams, management and suppliers, design and validate solutions for medium to large size/complexity/risk projects. Build reference architectures for service management, messaging and application layers. Analyse and model as-is architectures and define future to-be ones and evolution paths. Provide expertise in the translation of internal and external customer requirements into technical analysis for a large and complex environment. Contribute to the divisional strategy by integrating a broad range of ideas regarding business, systems and operational requirements. You possess: Demonstrable ability to manage multiple sources of information and master the specification of solutions based on a wide spectrum of technologies. Be deep on the technical side while being able to synthesis the information with the right level of abstraction for the target audience. Build a strong understanding of existing and new services and evolve or design them as per reference architectures. RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct strategic analysis of architecture improvements, models and new products. These analyses will be conducted in liaison with other architects, the marketing division, customers, management and third party suppliers. Produce architecture solutions/designs for medium to large size/complexity/risk projects. Provide expert technical assistance during design activities and to resolve issues ensuring design adherence. Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams to provide expert knowledge. Lead medium/large size/complexity/system risk design reviews. Handle customer and third-party contacts in regards to design activities. Maintain advanced knowledge of architecture technologies and future industry trends. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Participate in the review of existing implementation with the goal to further improve on the resilience, performance and maintainability of the infrastructure. Assess new requests to derive budget (Capex/Opex) assumptions. Be involved in development activities related to the defined architecture(s). The following soft skills are essential to the job. Very good modelling and documenting capabilities. Good oral and written communication. Capacity to become knowledgeable in new areas after a quick learning curve. EDUCATION: University degree or equivalent EXPERIENCE: At least 10 years of relevant experience of which 5 linked to architecture of global approaches and solutions. PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE: Architecture modelling framework (Togaf) Architecture and software modelling languages (UML 2.0, Archimate) Relational databases (Oracle) Open source technologies and products Service management frameworks, protocols and products Design aspects of Cloud, private cloud, IaaS, PaaS etc. Service Oriented Architecture (SOAP and WS standards) Design patterns Knowledge of distributed application architectures Knowledge of J2EE component model Distributed transactions principles and concepts Web related concepts and technologies such as HTTP protocol, SSO, Web proxy and reverse proxy architectures, JSP/Servlet, Javascript, XML and parsers, XML Schema, XSLT, Webs servers, LDAP, DNS Design aspects of cryptography, secure protocols, security models, hardwar   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
