Description :

This person will direct Fidelitys approach to creating, managing, and maintaining the authoritative tag lists, taxonomies, and ontologies that are foundational to our online and digital experiences. This individual will work closely with team members from the business, content management, design, search, architecture, and technology to ensure that business needs and strategic direction are transformed into enterprise tagging and taxonomy guidelines, policies, and change control processes.

Applicable undergraduate degree; MLIS or similar information-focused masters-level work a plus



The Purpose of Your Role

As an Enterprise Taxonomy Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the business-critical tag lists and taxonomies that enable many of Fidelitys personalized and dynamic digital experiences. The information that you maintain will be leveraged across a wide range of business utilities and customer-facing applications. As such, your work will provide the firm with a set of centralized information structures and services that bring consistency for our digital consumers and drive efficiency into our development processes. You will have daily interactions with our content creation and publishing groups, digital experience leaders, members of technology, and the content strategy team. You will lead the formation and ongoing management of enterprise change control processes and will work with a variety of stakeholders to build consensus around the information we use to label and organize our content.



The Skills You Bring

You have a deep understanding of the way content metadata and tag structures are leveraged in modern digital experiences
You are adept with taxonomy development and management; and have a competent understanding of financial services
You are familiar with Enterprise Taxonomy Management tools, both in terms of the way these are used and the features that are provided
You have designed metadata and tagging strategies for digital content
You have supported site experiences that include highly interactive, content-rich interfaces – particularly those where content tagging is a key driver of these experiences

You have analyzed content in support of large-scale content improvement or migration activities
You are an excellent communicator who can distill complicated concepts into clear, understandable ideas
You have a proven ability to work with business and technology stakeholders and are adept at facilitating communication between groups
You have proven relationship-building skills and confidence to seek answers with teams, business units, and large organizations
You have strong presentation and negotiation skills
You can work independently, quickly, and thoroughly to prioritize and complete tasks under multiple deadlines
You are creative, curious, imaginative, and possess a good sense of humor
