Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. May be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Writes manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures. Requires a bachelors degree in a related area and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Must have a working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of Contractor staff. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected This project will include the analysis and design of changes to legacy applications and interfaces within ODOT to support the integration a commercial Time and Attendance System. The position is located in the Transportation Application Development (TAD) Central Service Team. The work includes but is not limited to requirement gathering, specification development, and testing for interfaces, applications, and reports. Primary tasks will include: Gathering requirements to finalize interfaces, reporting, and design Develop specification documents to support the development on ongoing interfaces and applications Writing test plan and test cases for new interfaces and development to ensure they meet requirements as defined Support in maintenance transition including training and additional documentation Work with business partners to develop requirements and needs for ad hoc reports   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
