Provides hardware support for analog, digital, VOIP switches and phones. Installs upgrades as needed, trouble-shoots and assists with telephony network design. Covers several sites, frequently working irregular hours to perform duties. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Drivers License EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 1-2 years + experience within telecommunications job or industry 1-2 years + experience with Cisco technology 1+ year experience with configuring phones and voicemails OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must have good communication skills, be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to change. Must be good at decision-making, problem-solving, and have a strong customer focus. Solid experience with PC hardware, software and related peripherals required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coordinates new software installations and changes to existing service. Manages Work Orders (Wos) as assigned and complete work by scheduled due dates. Consults with users at all levels of the organization regarding technical problems and at times acts as a liaison between telecommunications and users. Designs and maintains telephone software. Maintains telecommunications hardware, software and services inventory. Software administration, report generation, telecom analysis and recommendations. Provides documentation by properly labeling wiring, blocks, panels and anything pertaining to telecommunications equipment. Consults with outside vendors regarding billing, ordering and technical support. Able to plan, coordinate, and train departmental staff of systems workflows.
