We have a 24-month project with our client in Schenectady, NY that requires a Tester, Expert Tester is needed to assist with the implementation and roll out projects. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Provide guidelines, reviews and support to developers, business analysts, and business staff involved in creating user acceptance tests and integrating them into defect tracking process. Guide teams performing testing activities related to user acceptance, regression, data integration, performance, scalability, and accessibility testing activities as needed. Develop Test cases per the Business Rules to direct others on testing requirements. Review and provide guidance on the test scope and output of testers performing testing Create status reporting mechanisms to monitor the status of the above activities Host integration discussions, with representatives of all test teams, identify and help resolve roadblocks Ensure that requirements and deliverables are verified and validated at each testing phase and final acceptance Prepare test protocols and reports which meet regulatory requirements, during the final test cycle Help keep test processes streamlined for efficiency Be the primary advocate for the adoption of methodologies which are appropriate for the project. Mandatory Qualifications: Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence. 84+ Months Experience-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: 84 Months of experience planning, designing, developing, and executing test plans based on business requirements and functional specifications. 84 Months of experience coordinating, tracking, and analyzing testing activities. 84 Months of experience using functional and performance test tools. 84 Months experience recording and scripting automated functional tests. 84 Months experience as a Test / QA Lead working on projects including experience of detail team leadership responsibilities. 84 Months of experience creating user test scripts and managing User Acceptance Testing. 84 Months of experience in using JIRA or Quality center.
