Bachelor degree in a related field or equivalent experience required. Advanced knowledge in the following areas is required: cybersecurity principles needed to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data; information technology (IT) security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones, encryption); new and emerging information technology (IT) and cybersecurity technologies and risks. Understands a wide variety of information technology (IT) and risk management policies, requirements, and procedures; computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies; cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Planning, problem solving, analytical, consulting, time management and decision-making skills required. Communication skills to effectively share information with a variety of audiences is critical. Requires attention to detail and ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy. Familiarity with database applications, distributed and/or programming languages. Basic knowledge of business unit applications, insurance and financial services products preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality essential. Working conditions: must be able to move 25 pounds as a physical requirement of the position. Responsibilities: Performs analysis to identify and mitigate threats for a broad scope of applications, information technology (IT) systems and/or networks. Performs review and evaluation of incoming cybersecurity information to determine its relavence to the organization and responds accordingly. Investigates cybersecurity events or fraud related to information technology (IT) systems, networks, and digital evidence.1 Design, deploy, maintain, review, and administer a broad scope of infrastructure hardware and software to effectively manage information security defense mechanisms for the company. Provides consulting and/or systems requirements planning for technology solutions. 25 % 2 Uses both proactive and defensive measures and information collected from a variety of sources to identify, analyze, and report events that occur or might occur within a broad scope of systems impacting company business in order to protect information, information systems, and networks from threats. Analyzes collected information to identify vulnerabilities and potential for exploitation. 25 % 3 Reviews routine to complex threat information from multiple sources, disciplines, and agencies. Analyzes and documents intelligence information in context; collaborates to determine possible implications. 15 % 4 Reviews vulnerabilities for deviations from acceptable configurations, enterprise or local policy; assesses the level of risk; and recommends appropriate mitigation countermeasures. May lead or work as part of a team to perform testing (e.g.: penetration test or static code review) to find weaknesses in functionality. 15 % 5 With limited supervision, responds to a broad scope of incidents and/or urgent situations to mitigate immediate and potential threats. Uses mitigation, preparedness, and response and recovery approaches to maximize preservation of property and information security.
