NYWIC is a State-hosted, vendor-supported web application that is used to deliver nutritional benefits to New Yorks women, infants and children in need; also used for vendor management, investigation case management, research and reporting to USDA. Qualifications: Tester - Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence. Expert 84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. 84 months of experience working with project/program staff to create testing strategies for web applications. 84 months of experience working directly with business analysts, program subject matter experts and technical staff, to define test scenarios. 84 months of experience creating detailed functional test cases based on use cases, software specifications, and/or design documents. 60 months of experience creating repeatable test cases for use in manual regression testing. 60 months of experience executing test cases and creating and monitoring defects. 60 months of experience supporting or participating in User Acceptance Testing efforts. Bachelors Degree in an Information Technology related field, from an accredited institution. Day-to-Day tasks: Assist Program staff with defining a regression testing strategy for user acceptance testing of the application. Work with Program staff to define regression test scenarios. Using test case templates provided, create a test case for each test scenario with clearly defined test steps, test data requirements and expected results. Review test cases created by other staff. Create test data. Provide support as requested for user acceptance test execution, including analysis and validation of testing defects.
