Job Description : Location: Irving, TX Position Summary: The Connected Vehicle Services division of SiriusXM builds and delivers software-based services on our connected car platform. Duties and Responsibilities: Be a TIBCO subject matter expert. As such, this role requires that the individual be able to apply best practices for implementing TIBCO solution, not limited to: Architecture and design for optimum performance, Creation of workflows within TIBCO, The use of appropriate TIBCO tools and applications, Launching of Java web services from within TIBCO. Adhere to rules established to enforce test-driven/behavior-drive development, maintaining wiki pages, code style, and code group/peer review. Work under the supervision of a more senior engineer, completing tasks with the expected degree of quality in a timely fashion. Analyze requirements and technical specifications, and implement assigned development tasks using a variety of technologies and techniques as appropriate. Dig in and troubleshoot pre and post production issues. Contribute to planning and estimation activities in a meaningful fashion. Create and maintain technical specifications for services, policies and/or protocols as required. Perform other duties as required. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or other technically related field or equivalent, relevant experience. 5-7 years of experience with TIBCO EMS and ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks. 5+ years of experience in Java/ Java EE. 5+ years of experience in a Linux/Unix environment. Requirements and General Skills: Works well with others and is a skilled communicator both in writing and verbally. Acts with professionalism both in person and when working on the phone with partners Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work under shifting deadlines with potentially ambiguous or nebulous requirements in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to decompose and simplify complex problems so that they can be solved easily. Willingness to learn new technologies, often very quickly. Ability to be a leader when required. Must have legal right to work in the U.S. Technical Skills: Experience working in an agile software development organization; Scrum and/or Kanban.
