Description: Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications. Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks. Manager Notes: Key Areas of Responsibility Analyze existing wireless infrastructure using wireless survey tools Analyze existing campus switching infrastructure using network survey tools Identify and troubleshoot existing wireless and campus infrastructure in the areas of response, throughput and availability. Provide recommended solution to remediate existing environment. Communicate solution both verbally and written with diagrams and verbiage. Program and install wireless products from HPE-Aruba, Cisco and others. Program and install network switch products from HPE-Aruba, Cisco and others. Create and implement test plans to validate proper operation. Document the installed wireless and campus infrastructure. Serve as technical point of contact Ensure solution is implemented as designed to the customers satisfaction and approval Key Areas of Knowledge & Qualification Minimum five years of experience installing wireless and network technology Experience installing and trouble-shooting Cisco networking, Cisco wireless, HPE networking and Aruba wireless solutions. Experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, Frame Relay, VPN, MPLS, etc. Bachelor degree in computer science or a related technical degree preferred Ability to work weekends, off hours and travel as necessary to meet clients needs Ability to communicate effectively. Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment. Organized with attention to detail on inventory, logistics and time accounting.
