DB2 BLU understanding is also required Experience/ Required Skills: +5 years of database administration of database management systems in highly available, highly-utilized system environments Able to write database hardening and automation scripts and be capable of identify associated risks Solid understanding of Database technology – DB2 in LUW Database performance tuning experience Deep knowledge of industry-standard, enterprise-class best practices for a large database environment Experience with OS cluster on database servers (HACMP on AIX and Veritas in Linux) Experience in troubleshooting any database issues, performance analysis and ensuring database security Very good understanding of Unix/Linux platform Interact with Storage and Sys admins on Unix/Linux operating systems issues related to Databases Configure and maintain Database High availability (HADR) Troubleshoot database production problems and database connectivity issues Knowledge of various DB2 backup and recovery scenarios at database and table level Experience implementing, supporting and auditing database security Experience with Unix OS platform and Unix Shell/Perl scripting and auto. Proven and successful track record in programming, application development, and systems automation scripting Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and meet aggressive timelines. Ability to work well as a team and as an individual with minimal supervision. Be a team player with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, initiative, and self-motivation. Analytical skills.
