This position will work on multiple initiatives on behalf of TS Architecture to create and document Reference Architectures for Cloud Security, Disaster Recovery, and Infrastructure Security. Responsible for: - Provide security architecture guidance to Technology Services initiatives to establish a new Out of Region Data Center using Cloud and co-location approaches. - Write Reference architecture documents for Cloud Security and Disaster Recovery and other security solutions reviewing with engineering and the client architecture community integrating all feedback. - Define requirements and architecture for enhancements to Information Security Services to meet new Cloud hosting requirements, and encryption and key management solutions to meet confidentiality and integrity requirements. - Attend Security Community of Practice meetings and present security patterns, requirements and solution proposals and following up on all assigned action items as needed - Define and document security patterns for Infosec Roadmap projects as needed. Responsibilities: - As a part of the Technology Services Security Architecture Team work collaboratively with the client architecture community and Technology Services Engineering and Operations groups to comprehend and recognize business, industry, and technology solutions (currently in place, planned, developing and emerging) and set the direction of the IT organization to support current and future business models, strategies, and processes. - Recommend secure solutions to meet client business requirements as part of an initiative to establish a new Out of Region disaster recovery capability using Cloud and co-location approaches. - Account for and leverage existing and future security services including authentication, authorization, identity and access management, encryption, federation, network security and segmentation, logging and monitoring in a Cloud-based environment. - Understand existing application deployment architecture and security designs and identify migration paths to an Out of Region disaster recovery Cloud-based model. - Validate architecture collaboratively with infrastructure and application development project teams and senior management, ensuring that corporate security policy, standards and industry best practices are met. - Specify solutions that address authentication, authorization (what authorization model is required), auditing of critical security related events, administration (provisioning of access rights, recertification of access rights), confidentiality (both at rest and in transit), integrity, and availability. - Fully account for a mixture of in-house built and COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) product scenarios, assess product capability to meet the stated requirements and ability to comply with vetted client security patterns for implementation. - Identify information security risks associated with the solution, and provide compensating mitigations where necessary. - Identify any gaps in existing security infrastructure, work with Chief and Senior Information Security Architects to identify roadmap solutions. - Demonstrate work commitment and drive for results as part of a demanding delivery schedule that serves multiple projects at once. - Understanding of industry standards and best practices, keeping current with financial industry trends and emerging technologies.
