The right designer will bring a modern perspective on data visualization, exceptional information architecture and interaction design skills as well as strong visual design abilities. Prototyping and iterating on design concepts to get user feedback will be essential to creating visualizations that are useful, usable and compelling. Day-to-day, as a UX data visualization designer, youll be: • Working across multiple teams to understand users behavior, pain points, and needs • Clearly identifying assumptions and working to test them • Designing a data space that tells a story to inform, facilitate exploration, and surface insights • Creating low and high-fidelity designs to test concepts for value & usability • Explaining your design rationale • Picking the most important battles to add value for users • Responding to quantitative and qualitative learning with each iteration Youll need to have: • At least 5-7 years experience with designing software and data visualization in a human-centered approach • A BS/MS degree in human factors, psychology, design or equivalent experience • Design experience and proficiency with Tableau • A clear grasp of UX best practices & patterns for modern product design • Experience facilitating user research and usability testing • IA, journey mapping, wireframing, and user flow design chops and software proficiency • Firm grasp of visual design disciplines (typography, iconography, composition, color, layout, etc) • Up-to-date knowledge of digital product design trends and best practices, esp. in data visualization • Great visual, verbal and written communication skills • Comfort designing within Agile software development processes • A conversant understanding of HTML / CSS capabilities • Remote working for this engagement is an option   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
