Job Description Specialist: AIX,(5.2, 5.3, 6.1), Unix, Unix Shell Scripting, Python

Description :

[***CLIENT IS HCSC (Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL). Work location is Waukegan, IL. Contract runs through the EOY 2012***]

Skills Required:

3 years experience working with and deploying discovery jobs using Hewlett Packards UCMDB/DDMA.

1) Experience writing custom discovery patterns using Python/Jython
2) Experience performing custom integrations using UCMDB federation adapters.
3) Relational database experience
4) Solid understanding of networking concepts
5) AIX/UNIX shell scripting experience
6) Windows shell experience.


Responsibilities:

1) Support/enhance current discovery patterns (jobs)
2) Deploy/troubleshoot new discovery patterns (jobs)
3) Build models/queries
4) Administer UCMDB
5) Add and manage probes
6) Meet with application managers and/or application subject matter experts to understand and translate their requirements into new discovery jobs


Other :

1) Experience with CA Service Desk (preferred but not required)
2) Strong written and communication skills
