Job Description Developer: SQL Data Access, Unix, ETL,

Primary Skill: SQL Data Access & UNIX

Strong knowledge of IBM IIS - DataStage, QualityStage, Information Analyzer, and Data Profiling.

Proven experience in developing functional applications and systems of medium to high technical complexity.



Expected Responsibilities:



Responsible for assisting in customization and development of application systems. Designs, programs, and codes software in response to specific business requirements. Understands how to optimize joint development efforts through appropriate project design, database use, code creation, and software architecture.

Develops design specifications in compliance with IT Architecture Resolves user issues and suggestions.



Tasks and Responsibilities:



· Extensive knowledge of the ETL process using DataStage and QualityStage tools · Must understand overall QualityStage functionality.

· Possesses detailed knowledge of QualityStage stages to develop an effective application · Work with the Data Quality Architect to create Data Quality standards, High Level and Low-level design documents.

· Assesses the appropriateness and quality of data for data integration initiative.

· Ensures QualityStage solution meets business requirements.

· Provides meta data to create functional and technical specifications for data integration/cleansing applications.

· Designs auditing and balancing processes to meet data integrity needs.

· Designs data movement processes through a QualityStage application.

· Determines the appropriate tool to use and when to meet data movement and business requirements.

· Monitors resolution of data quality issues.

· Strong experience in writing database procedures, functions and fine-tuning SQL for performance optimization.

· Good experience in writing Shell Scripts to automate file manipulation and data loading procedures.

· Hands on experience in data source Analysis, Controls, Exception Capture and Exception Remediation.

· Applicant must have the ability to train and educate existing staff on more complex stages and functionality of tools in order to transfer this knowledge to the support staff



Suggested Experience & Qualifications:



· Good Domain Knowledge in Finance and Client Interactions

· Excellent team player with good organizational, communicational, analytical and logical skills.

· A minimum of a bachelor of science in Computer Science, CIS/MIS or equivalent degree from an accredited four year institution.

· Working knowledge of IBM Information Analyzer and Infosphere Discovery/Validator a huge plus.

· Typically 6-8 years of experience, including project management, application development, infrastructure selection and support, and systems technology analysis, with a heavy emphasis on Quality Stage, Information Analyzer and Infosphere Discovery

· Gaining approval and communication of technology architecture solutions and directions.

· In-depth knowledge of one or more financial business functions.

· Collaboration and consensus building among diverse groups.

· Lead roles on cross-functional teams, internal peer groups, and external IT groups or IT standard-setting bodies.

· Able to influence and advise large, complex project teams on technology architecture directions and implementations.

· Provides leadership and mentoring to other architects throughout the enterprise.

· Leads and manages key \ complex architecture efforts, such as architecture definition, pilots \ prototypes, and architecture implementations.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks and to work independently as well as in a team, experienced in interacting
