Job Description Architect: Unix, Linux, Hipaa, Unix Shell Scripting

Max Days for Receiving Candidates: 7

This position will provide technical suport for the Employee Insurance Program. This position will help support the Open/Annual Enrollment Periods for EIP. In addition, there will be ongoing requirements for feature enhancements. As well as the day to day operations relating to the legacy systems and the various environment i.e. dev, UAT training and production. The day to day operations support ADABAS, Natural and EntireX, with UNIX and Linux operating systems.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Required to work in the Columbia, SC office M– F 8:00 am – 5:30 pm and on call 24 by 7, 365 days a year.
• May require after hour work.
• Occasionally required to be in Columbia, SC office on weekends.
• Work with application teams to understand, document, define development processes, code, and maintain applications in their production environment.
• Maintain documentation of all steps taken during the engagement.
• Assist in the design of new functionality as additional requirements are identified by customers.
• Communicates effectively with technology staff and business stakeholder.
• This position will report directly to the Internal Application Section manager and may work in conjunction with other contractor(s) and DSIT staff in the Design and Development phases.
• Provides status reports regularly to the Internal Applications Manager
