Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) and security processes and procedures must be followed for everything that we do. We are seeking a UNIX Server Engineer with the following responsibility: Review, improve, and maintain standard UNIX (Solaris and Redhat Linux) server build configurations Test and evaluate new UNIX versions and patches, and develop deployment plans Update Disaster Recovery plan (DR) and Business Continuity plan (BCP) regarding UNIX servers and related systems Design/engineering support for modifications/hardening of UNIX servers based upon USGCB changes/requirements Monitor and tune performance of UNIX servers on an on-going basis Ensure a GOLD UNIX server standard is established and updated after each new configuration baseline is approved Ensure GOLD UNIX server standard image is consistent across all environments Qualifications: Specific skills required At least 7 years of experience managing Solaris 10/11, Red Hat Linux 5/6 in an enterprise environment Familiar with NIST security guidelines, e. g. Special Publication (SP) 800-53 Controls Familiar with USGCB (United States Government Configuration Baseline) Familiar with ITSM/ITIL management concept Excellent verbal and written communication skill Desirable skills Enterprise applications - Oracle 11g, WebLogic 10, SAS 9, Cognos 8, etc. VMware ESX administration Firewall and networking experience ITIL experience Worked in US government datacenter environment Education/Certifications BS in Computer Science or related field with at least 7 years UNIX administration experience and 10 years overall IT experience Other Qualifications Must be able to obtain a US Government Public Trust Clearance   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
