Description :

VB Programmer

Experience: 3 years, preferably 5+ years
Day to Day Responsibilities:

Assist team of engineers to provide production support and troubleshooting for 24/7 manufacturing operation. Work with production associates, technicians, and engineers to ensure reliable equipment operation via automated control systems and user interfaces.
Support process and product optimization/improvement efforts. Develop plans for innovative solutions to technical problems and follow through to implementation.
Provide training for engineers and/or production associates as needed for new processes, equipment, or control systems.
Participate in capital projects.

Projects involved with:
- Project Team IT resource working with plant capacity improvement projects.
- Incremental software improvements for process efficiency

Required Skills {these are skills that candidates MUST possess}
- Technical background in an Engineering or Computer Science Discipline
- Strong computer programming skills: IFIX, VB6, VB.net, Oracle, PLC (Slick 5, Allen Bradley, RSLynx or equivalent)
- Ability/experience integrating computers into manufacturing processes to increase efficiencies and lower cost.

Desired Skills {these are skills that would be nice for candidates to possess}
MES, Factory Works, Real-time controls, MS Windows, MS Word, Excel, Access, or equivalent. Electrical design, controls design

Soft Skills {Communication/Team/Leadership}
- Able to communicate equally well with engineers, production associates, and managers
- Able to work in a team-oriented environment
- Self-motivated, Independent, High Initiative.
