Job Description Developer: VBA, Java, SQL Server,

Description :
The California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) Technology Services Support Division (TSSD) requests consultant services from Contractor Name to provide the Investment Office (INVO) an experienced application developer responsible for development, integration and operational/administrative tasks in connection to the application development and enhancement efforts for INVOs Global Fixed Income Performance Attribution module.

Roles :

• Provide technical support for the existing GFI Performance Attribution module: Maintain existing system, processes, and reporting tools. Support data and/or tool interfaces from various sources.

• Analyze and Integrate Data Feeds: Analyze existing data inputs to the GFI performance attribution process for possible optimization or migration to new sources/different formats of data acquisition. Integrate and update any new data feeds into the GFI performance attribution module and database.

• Develop and implement an automated workflow based process: Enhance the existing Performance Attribution module by packaging the existing processes into an automated workflow process.

• Develop Interfaces: As a technical project team member, write the code to integrate each module with other modules and the database.

• Create documentation: Create documentation for all interfaces, modules, and applications using Unified Modeling Language (UML), JavaDoc, flowcharts, Visio, ERWin, and/or standard code comments. Documentation should be done for each phase of the software development life cycle.

• Provide training: Provide User and System level training for all developed interfaces, modules, and applications.

• Knowledge Transfer: Store existing procedures, references, and job aids in a centrally organized location for easy access by the appropriate CalPERS staff. Create a knowledge transfer document prior to the end of project activities detailing your knowledge regarding processes, procedures, or tools being used to perform your duties. Work with internal staff to develop a transition plan detailing any outstanding activities that internal staff will be required to manage to completion upon your exit from the project.
