VMWare san RAID SQL 2005 2008 VBS XenApp Administrator (Jobs in BROOKLYN, OH)   Requirement id 20958 Job title Administrator Job location in BROOKLYN, OH Skills required VM Ware, san, NAS/SAN Arrays, RAID SQL 2005 2008 VBS XenApp Open Date 01-Oct-2014 Close Date Job type Contract Duration 6 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type ---    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Administrator: VM Ware, san, NAS/SAN Arrays, RAID SQL 2005 2008 VBS XenApp ** Experis is looking for an INTEL SERVER SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR for a 3-6 month Contract in Cleveland, Ohio ** ** The INTEL SERVER SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR position will be responsible for all daily activities within the server team including providing tier 2 server management and administration support for all network server systems within the enterprise on various computer platforms as well as providing project work and off hours support. ** RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage open requests and issues to ensure all work is delivered on time and with high quality - Assist cross-functional engineering teams at World Headquarters to perform design and engineering for new solutions and the implementation of those solutions - Work closely with other cross-functional teams to provide scalable Intel infrastructure. - Provides technical, performance, and operational analysis for the enterprise Intel server infrastructure and makes recommendations for improvements - Assists with planning, implementation and ongoing support of Windows Server environment in multi-site organization - Provides 1st and 2nd level Support for Windows servers, Active Directory, VMware environment - Assists with planning, implementation and ongoing support of large VMWare environment including View infrastructure - Creates and maintains scripts to automate server administration and eliminate manual efforts - Champions process, documentation and operational improvements and best practices - Provides 24 x 7 support for both planned and unplanned activities to minimize disruption to the business - Builds strong relationships with other key areas including network, desktop, security and applications to drive efficiencies across multiple teams. REQUIRED - Minimum 5 years in a large, enterprise client-server environment - Familiarity with backups, Disaster Recovery (DR) and restoration systems - Intermediate knowledge of Enterprise Windows Server environment and virtualization technologies - Planning, implementation and ongoing support of Windows Server environment in multi-site organization - Supporting Windows architecture including active directory and networking - Planning, implementation and ongoing support of large VMWare environment including View infrastructure - Supporting large MS Exchange 2010 environment - Creating and maintaining scripts to automate server administration and eliminate manual efforts - Flexible, positive and team oriented attitude - Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with technical and business partners - Strong written, verbal and presentation abilities - Able to handle dynamic and high pressure environment with focus on success and productivity - Demonstrate excellent analytical abilities and critical thinking - Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff - Demonstrated success with administrative time management and organizational skills - Demonstrated ability to work productively in teams - Demonstrated time management and organizational skills. - Ability and desire to learn new technical skills quickly - Strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to resolve technical problems on your own REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: - Solid knowledge of Active Directory - Solid knowledge of Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 Server - Strong knowledge and supporting VMware ESX 4.x ESXi 5.x environment - Solid knowledge of VMWare View Virtual Desktop Infrastructure - Solid understanding of networking, networking technologies, and networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls) - Strong knowledge of Citrix XenApp technology - Basic knowledge of information security areas - Strong knowledge of IBM xSeries (x86) hardware Blade and Flex En   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
