The key role of the Network Engineer will be to monitor, resolve, and recommend solutions for backup infrastructure. The Network Engineer will become an integral part of Network support team and must be able to work in a team environment. Specifically the Network Engineer will: • Will work with Network Administrator, Desktop Support Manager and Director of Information Technology Operations to support on-Premise NetBackup and Veeam back up infrastructure. • Will Patching, Monitoring, and troubleshooting CHIAs backup infrastructure as required. • Vendor relationship management with CHIAs providers of NetBackup and Veeam services. • Hands on participation in the installation, upgrading and configuration of devices that support the backup environments. • Resolve escalated issues arising from operations that require coordination with other departments. • Support and monitoring of CHIAs backup infrastructure including VEEAM and NetBackup. • Provide support to the Information Technology Operations department on an adhoc basis. Qualifications: • At least seven years direct experience, hands on, installing, patching, configuring and monitoring NetBackup and Veeam environments. • At least seven years direct experience, hands on, installing, patching, configuring and monitoring backup appliances. • Experience with modern backup technologies including VEEAM preferred. • Experience working with Azure, AWS or Google cloud preferred. • Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and written with all levels of the organization. • Experience utilizing tools and research abilities to resolve technical issues. • Ability to work independently prioritizes existing projects and proactively determine areas that require additional attention, monitoring or maintenance. • Ability to create detailed Visio diagrams in support of network hardware. • Ability to follow standard change management processes. Document and evaluate impact of required changes to the various networked systems. Plan, schedule and communicate changes to be implemented. • Ability to understand and follow sometimes-complex oral and written instructions. • Excellent organizational, verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills with a high degree of attention to detail • Strong interest in learning and keeping current with changing technologies. Education and Certifications: • Bachelors Degree or higher in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
