Description: Position Summary: Seeking a Senior Security Consultant with deep analytical skills, strong networking skills, and deep experience in writing test plans. Experience Needed: Strong understanding of data center disaster recovery mechanisms, architectures, processes, and procedures from an Enterprise and IT security perspective. This is not a “data center build program”, it is a disaster recovery program, and as such, the security architecture and the manner which it operates is slightly different. The resource for this position must understand the clear differences between “disaster avoidance”, “disaster recovery”, and “application mobility”. The resource should also be able to demonstrate knowledge of security mechanisms for “At Time of Test” and “At Time of Disaster” scenarios from a security perspective (as they relate to application service availability). Strong analytical skills are a must. This includes the ability to ingest large amounts of data and analyze that data against the needs and requirements of a data center disaster recovery architecture to ensure that Enterprise and IT security services being built meet the compliance and security requirements of the customer. This is not an “execution, hands on keyboard role”, this is a design/engineering role that requires the person to be able to understand the requirements of the customers disaster recovery architecture. Technical writing skills are a must. This includes the ability to intake detailed data and correlate that data into actionable test plans related to the build, test, and validation of security services. Resource must also be able to articulate through documented knowledge and presentations, a strong grasp of security concepts within the customers disaster recovery architecture, to identify potential issues and provide recommendations on potential enhancements. There is no time to train someone in this skill for this program. Self-starter is a must. While it is important that this resource can work with and take direction from senior team members, it is also critically important that this resource is a self-starter. Day to day activities will dictate that this resource will need to lead, guide, and direct deep technical conversations around security architecture, design, implementation, and testing. The ability to identify areas of needs then develop of a plan of action and execution are an absolute must, as daily guidance from senior resources may be not available. Ability and willingness to communicate effectively. This role does not work in a bubble or as a 1-off. It is a critical role within the program and as such, requires the resource to have the ability and willingness to communicate with other team members and the customer. Soft-skills with this customer are just as critical as hard skills. “Nice to have to enhance the role”. If the resource has experience in public Cloud security architecture as it relates to disaster recovery, it is a huge plus. Specifically, demonstrated Disaster Recovery to the Cloud experience will get the resource to the front of the line for interviews.
