Produce and deliver telecommunications monthly progress report which includes but not limited to activities performed and deliverables submitted during the past reporting period. Provide Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless LAN (WLAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) support to include network deployment/logistics, initiatives, and project. Responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned LAN and/or WLAN projects. Responsible for technical project management of personnel (employees and sub-contractors) and will be the direct interface to client management. Serve as the counterpart to the client team leads to ensure all required deliverables are completed and submitted by the designated deadline. Ensure all deliverables are tracked and reported to client management on a weekly basis. Serve as the on-site technical manager of personnel assigned multiple areas such as 802.11 Wireless, LAN Implementation/Support, Network Performance, Network Security, RF/Cellular, and Voice Services Support. Perform technical reviews and designs to ensure each are in accordance with client standards. Perform site survey reviews and site remediation reviews when personnel return from travel. Perform technical interviews for vacancies within each of the areas supported. Ensure project schedules are up-to-date and dates have been agreed upon by all parties involved prior to travel arrangements. Provide after-hours and weekend support to on-call engineers from multiple IT groups to ensure issues are addressed/resolved in a timely manner and/or escalated to the appropriate team to troubleshoot/resolve the issues experienced by the customer. Preferred Skills: Knowledgeable on Cisco Prime Infrastructure (CPI), Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Cisco Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Access Points, and Cisco LAN Switch Configurations. Minimum of 10 years of related experience with LAN, WAN, and 802.11 Wireless. CCNA/CCNP certifications desired or equivalent enterprise level experience. Preferred project management experience Strong and effect communications with on-site customer to include other contract personnel and client executive management. Ability to work effectively in a mixed vendor environment at a client location. Additional Provisions Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check. Once candidates resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process. If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance. All candidates must be a US Citizen, or have permanent residence status (Green Card) or hold an H1B Visa. Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years. Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.) All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative. Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at straight time.
