Job Description Developer: Java/J2EE Technologies, Web Services, Websphere ESB, SQL Websphere 7 WebSphere 8 PowerShell I

Description:

• Build real-time and batch interfaces
• Work directly with the Business Analysts in validating and defining application requirements and support Business Analysts and Eligibility SME
• Ensure that application contributes to the overall mission of the business and meets applicable standards
• Produce deliverables on time and of good quality
• Functions as an active member of the development team in all phases of the project
• Actively learn the business behind the application to leverage the knowledge in delivering effective solutions to system problems
• Ability to create complete and comprehensive technical documentation (i.e. system specifications, etc.)
• Provide on-call production support as part of a team rotation

Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree required with emphasis in business information systems, Computer Science or finance & accounting
• Must have at least 7 years of software development experience
• At least 5 yrs of Java/J2EE experience, Struts experience a plus
• At least 2 yrs of experience creating web services
• At least 2 yrs of experience with WebSphere ESB Server
• At least 2 yrs of experience with SQL
• Experience with WebSphere v7.x and v8.x required
• Experience with shell scripting, PowerShell experience a plus
• Experience with job scheduling and automation
• Good understanding of relational database concepts is a must
• Good understanding of Software development life cycle and development methodologies
• Knowledge of XML and SOAP required
• Knowledge of IBM Tools i.e WebSphere Integration Developer, Rational Clear Case, etc is a plus.
