Job Description Engineer: Web Application Environment, Web Services, GWT 2.0, Java XML

Description :

This person will be responsible for web application, web services, network and server-side development. Specific tools used will include GWT, Java, RDF, OWL and XML. We are looking for someone who can contribute on all tiers of our applications. This person will work with a variety of teams and will be expected to take a leadership role in helping to analyze requirements, develop designs, manage priorities, and perform unit tests and support ongoing QA efforts. Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and excellent planning, leadership, and communication skills are required. The person in this role will own several major components in the eagle-i architecture and provide technical leadership in his/her area of expertise. This is a grant-funded position through August 31, 2012.

BA/BS in computer or information science or equivalent is required. At least seven years of IT experience and at least five years of professional experience in JSF, GWT, Java, XML and web-services.
MS in computer science or related field is preferred. Experience working with Agile methodologies (continuous integration, unit testing, SCRUM), Spring and Maven is highly desirable. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with technical leadership, sponsors and end users. Prior experience in the development of biomedical informatics applications and scientific software are highly desirable.
