This is a 1+ year contract position and the pay rate is flexible depending on experience. Here are the details: Position: WebFocus Developer Location: Durham, NC Rate: Negotiable based on experience Duration: 1+ year Position Description: This Solutions Engineer will participate in design, development and implementation of WebFocus and other open source analytical applications. Will work on modernizing older applications, legacy system conversions, cloud computing, tool evaluation and prototyping. Will be actively involved in discussions on solution approaches across various applications. Project Team Engagement Represent the team in Project meetings Provide estimates for proposed new work Work closely with project teams and other WebFOCUS developers to design and develop reporting solutions that best satisfy business requirements. Educate project team members on the capabilities / features of the WebFOCUS reporting application. Effectively communicate information and issues to all key technology and business partners Develop standards and standard methodologies for WebFOCUS report development and code reviews Highly ambitious, results oriented, with an ability to work in a fast paced and geographically distributed project team. Participate in production support and troubleshooting activities for production reporting applications. Required Skills: 1. Experience with WebFOCUS v.7x AND v.8x 2. Experience with SQL, PL/SQL 3. Demonstrated experience with Report development, BI Portal (Dashboards) and application integration 4. Demonstrated experience of integrating WebFOCUS report components with custom developed user interfaces Desired Skills (not required but candidate will have exposure to these skills in this role): 1.
