Job Description : This is a Performance Test Engineer role that will require hands-on testing with Micro Focus/HP LoadRunner, VuGen, and Performance Center. Protocol experience required: HTTP, Web Services, and RDP. Monitoring and analysis experience required. General Requirements: Experience with all types of major system development and deployment projects, including web, web services, client/server, Telephony and Citrix. Experience implementing testing processes/methodology in large, complex, diversified, and global organizations Knowledge of the software testing discipline and its integration with software development life cycle, both waterfall and agile Ability to acquire knowledge quickly of the customers business in assigned area and industry Strong written and oral communication skills and Strong analytical skills Able to interpret requirement documents and able to update test documents accordingly Able to coordinate with offshore team To the extent that it is reasonable, able to go the extra mile to make sure that each individuals needs are met Understands how the IT group operates and how their role meets customer needs and creates value Able to identify opportunities or problems and acts quickly and decisively to respond to the situation Able to take initiative to work on challenging or stretch work assignments Ability to work independently to define, manage, and complete activities Ability to track and develop metrics for testing Additional Skills: Serves as a mentor to lower level testing analysts and may provide work direction to others in testing team(s). Working knowledge of SQL – can create ad-hoc queries to verify test results or troubleshoot issues. Programming experience, preferably C/C++, Java and shell scripting a plus.
