The family of UDOT sites include several thousand pages of content, downloads and interactive tools to help meet this need. At this time the Department has identified a need to redevelop the udottraffic.utah.gov site. A sister project, the redevelopment of the udot.utah.gov site project will also provide design guidance documentation that may be implemented on all current and future Department websites. UDOT is seeking a partner to develop a strategy to redesign, redevelop and maintain the udottraffic.utah.gov website and to then execute the strategy. Department leadership have seen examples of updated websites, like utah.gov, and would like to take advantage of new website design and technology standards. Leaderships desire is driving the improvement and internal divisions and content managers support the change because of frustrations they face due to the confined nature of the website. It is also believed that other website users including the general public will welcome improvements that will make finding the information they are seeking easier. UDOTs ideal finished project are Traveler Information products that we can be excited about and can share with Utah motorists. It will have ready access to construction, weather and road information without becoming a distraction. It will also leverage existing UDOT products like the TravelWise routing features and Zero Fatalities advertisements. The current website was created over 17 years ago and has received periodic updates, but no longer meets the needs of the end users. The website is currently maintained by contractors and supported by DTS.
