The qualified resource will need to have functional analytical and technical problem solving skills to support the gathering/documenting of requirements and implement the recommended solutions with focus on the business operational improvements. The solutions implemented will focus on the business and align with the State of Delaware technology standards. Respondent should possess the ability to evaluate and suggest new products or reports that will enhance the day to day operation. As a Product Specialist it is important that the applicant provide hands on end to end support along with high end systems analysis initially for our DelDOT Office of Information Technology (OIT) to align with business processes. This analysis role will include workflow analysis and reporting, utilizing the MS-SharePoint and MS-Office suite as the primary function, with coordination with other DOT support teams to possibly retrieve information and/or provide enhancement requirements documentation best solution outcomes. This position also requires extensive testing and documentation coupled with system upgrades and new system implementations. This position has additional duties as assigned by the Office of Information Technology and the CIO. Supporting other DelDOT sections or systems that may not pertain directly to OIT is possible. PS2 Years of Relevant Experience: 2 to 5 years Preferred Education: Four year college degree in Information Technology field, or a two year degree and five years experience Role Description: • Actively contribute as an expert or actual designer. • Coordinate product design reviews to verify that design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements. • Provide accurate estimates for design and programming efforts for system changes and enhancements. • Coordinate enhancements to business and logical data models with data base administration to make the appropriate changes to the physical data model. • Confirm that technical architecture will support all changes required by product enhancements. • Effectively lead product tests and trials. • Identify appropriate business examples to illustrate key concepts features. • Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the Application Team. Develop contingency plans as necessary. • Apply specific expertise to ensure that products meet defined customer objectives. • Anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team. • Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner. • Identify and track issues, risks and action items. • Candidate may travel throughout the state as required for site visits.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
