Scope of implementation
Work with key business users to understand business requirements / user scenarios. Iteratively develop a new adhoc Reporting Universe with a rich, easy to use interface. Additional EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) specific reports will be needed. Begin prototyping a new Emission focused Dashboard.

Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence developer with 8 or more years of experience to join the existing Reporting team for a major project initiative. The resource will be working with a team of analysts and developers and will be responsible for developing highly interactive and graphical reports and dashboards to meet the information requirements of the business users.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Create Universes, Reports and Dashboards that leverage the full
feature set of Business Objects to deliver information to meet user requirements with a focus on ease of use and intuitive navigation
Work in a highly collaborative environment, with a focus on
iterative, prototype based development
Provide mentoring/training to IT teammates

Required Skills:

Must have solid experience and expert proficiency with the following:

oBusiness Objects XI 3.1
oWeb Intelligence
oRich Client
oXcelsius
Experience developing reports that leverage the graphics capabilities of Webi and Xcelsius
Excellent written, verbal and listening skills
Experience developing complex reports with multiple data providers
Ability to focus on the business needs being met by the reports and
dashboards
Experience at designing effective data visualization solutions that
provide the user with a rich interactive experience
Strong SQL Skills

Preferred skills / experience:

Understanding of data warehouse and data modeling principles
Experience with Universe Development
Energy Utility experience
