Job Description Developer: Java Web-Based Applications, XML, Unix, SQL

Description:

Minimum Qualifications: - BS in Computer Science or equivalent, 7+ years in client server technology development.
- Ideal if you have exposure to these technical languages/products: OOD, Java and J2EE (POJOs and Servlets), Spring, Tomcat 6.0, SOAP Stack (Apache Axis or Systinet), XSD, XML, XSLT, WSDLs, SQL and JDBC (Informix and DB2),Eclipse, JUnit, Ant, Clearcase, JProbe.
- Must possess technical understanding of developing Enterprise Web Services specific applications in a Windows environment, deploy on HP-Unix;
- Some back ground in production support and management of problems and resolving issues is desired.
- Proficiency in writing code, comments, and unit testing;
- Proficiency in writing and maintaining application frameworks such as Spring.
- Experience with distributed systems (HTTP, SSL, Networking, Muli-tier environment) and experience with host data access protocols (e.g., MQ, DB2 connect) is desired.
- Proficiency with analyzing memory issues, garbage collection, CPU and performance issues.

Preferred Skills: - Should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be a quick thinker, learner, go-doer who can independently resolve problems with less direction. Good leadership skills.
- A good team player who can collaborate and work closely with multiple functional groups.
- Must have strong and effective communication skills, and ability to multi-task and work under stringent timelines within a strong, high energy team environment.
- Familiarity with the APS application environment, messages and framework is a huge plus.
