[Note : NOTE: Subject to funding availability and approvals, there is a strong possibility of extending this task order beyond the current end date for an additional five months. DHHS is seeking a candidate that is available to stay for the duration of the assignment]

Description:

Client is seeking a short term Java and SAS Programmer (*approx. 4-6 month assignment) for enhancements to the NC-CATCH data dissemination web site. The selected candidate will make necessary code modifications to existing application code that provides county level public health data through indicator reports and a query system. This effort is component of the CDC grant Strengthening Public Health Infrastructure for Improved Health Outcomes.

General modifications will include but are not limited to the following areas:
? Modify code to accommodate North Carolina data.
? Incorporate the DHHS web template into the XML/XSLT code.
? Modification of SAS code to incorporate North Carolina data suppression requirements.
? Documentation of modifications made to the code

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

Required:
- Looking for a good mix of Programming and SAS skills along with the following:
? Minimum of three (3) years in complex Java code development in Spring Web MVC framework
? Experience in XML and XSLT
? Experience in Javascript
? Experience with C
? Experience in JBoss environment
? Experience with Subversion
? Experience in development for a clustered application servers environment
? Experience in SQL
? Experience with Base SAS, including macros
? Must have excellent analytical software skills
? Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred:

? Experience with ArcServer
? Experience with SVG
