The Sr. Data Integration Architect will translate ESEs business and data management requirements into the optimal technical processes and solutions. He or she will focus on the movement, sharing and presentation of data across these systems that will best support the multiple complex business needs of the enterprise. This role spans all aspects of information management from data input, data validation and cleansing, transformation, classification and storage to presentation, distribution, security, privacy and archiving. The Sr. Data Integration Architect must be capable of designing systems that will address user requirements and perform efficiently and effectively in the current and proposed technical and operational environments. Job Duties The Sr. Data Integration Architect will be responsible for but not limited to the following: ? Defining the optimal movement of data across multiple data systems; ? Designing the integration of data from multiple data systems to meet the business requirements of multiple audiences and for multiple purposes; ? Recommending principles, standards and best practices around data integration and data sharing at the enterprise level; ? Helping agency staff understand the difference between data reporting needs for transactional reporting versus longitudinal analysis; ? Coordinating with agency project teams and management to ensure that proposed data standards and models align with the overall systems architecture and systems engineering approach and meet applicable standards. Qualifications Required ? Minimum 7 years experience in the design and implementation of enterprise level data integration solutions and technologies; ? Minimum 7 years experience in the architecture and design of large complex multi-terabyte data environments; ? Experience developing conceptual and logical data models for medium to large scale IT systems, for both transactional and analytical data models; ? Experience in technical requirements definition, mapping and data modeling; ? Experience with complex data validation routines and requirements; ? Experience in the design, implementation, and integration of Data Warehouse projects, including dimensional modelling; ? Significant experience with SQL, XML, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Message Broker, Middleware technologies, ORACLE 10g and 11g, SQL 2005; ? Must be self-motivated and take initiative in performing tasks; ? Must have the ability to communicate effectively to end users and technical staff both verbally and in writing. Preferred Qualifications ? 10+ years of progressive industry experience in the field of data architecture and the integration of complex data systems at the enterprise level; ? Understanding of the Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF) model; ? Experience designing and integrating system implementations using SIF; ? Experience working with education data systems; ? Experience working with data systems at the state, federal or local level; ?
