Description:

A large client of ours in San Antonio,TX has an immediate need for a Software Engineer Consultant to led a small team and help build their XML Appliance service offering for internal and external customers.

Job Description:
This position is for a Lead XML Gateway Consultant to manage the implementation and configuration of the Layer 7 XML Gateway software providing service gateway technology for complex machine-to-machine data communication and integration. The candidate will work directly with various system owners and internal teams managing complex workflows in the Layer 7 XML service gateway being utilized by numerous web applications and dependent technology. Candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skills and work directly with vendor to quickly respond and resolve appliance issues. Role may include some task lead or management opportunities

Minimum Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines and 3 years of Software Engineering experience.
- 3-5 years of experience with configuration and administration of Layer 7 XML Gateway or related service gateway technology Critical Skills;
- Experience with web applications and dependent technologies such as JBoss and onboarding WSDL/WADL services.
- Experience with training other team members to provide enhanced support capability
- Develop, document, implement, and maintain Layer 7 installation and upgrades
- Strong knowledge and experience PKI (1-way SSL configuration and 2-way SSL mutual authentication via X.509 Authentication)
- Strong knowledge and experience with XML, XPath, XSLT, etc.
- Strong knowledge and experience with SOA technologies such as SOAP/RESTful services using JSON/XML
- The ability to communicate and present to both technical and non-technical staff and management at all levels of an organization.
- Experience providing solution architecture requirements for the configuration of Layer 7 and/or service gateway technology in general.
- Experience with Layer 7s SDK/API software.
- Experience as a Java Developer preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
