Job Description : Position: Virtualization Administrator Location: Marlborough, MA Duration: 6 months Position Description: Our Client in Marlborough, MA is looking for a Virtualization Administrator to join their team. Responsibilities include: managing tools for 200 virtual machines, migrating from Windows 7 to 10, and performing Windows patching. Major Job Activities: Perform system administration and management duties for all VMware Horizon View virtual desktop infrastructure systems with a major focus on specific VMware Horizon View customers Responsible for trouble ticket handling Perform/contribute with documentation and project work when needed Perform system administration and management duties for Citrix XenApp (Virtual Applications) Open tickets with vendors if needed and troubleshoot issues until resolution Perform off-hours on-call duties (Rotating schedule) Perform tasks on your own and engage team members when needed Required Skills: 1. High-level knowledge of VMware Horizon View. 2. Over 1 year of on-the-job experience of VMware Horizon View Administration. 3. Over 1 year of on-the-job experience of managing VDI desktops within vSphere. 4. Good understanding on Networking (Routing, Name Resolution, DHCP, networking concepts, proxies and load balancers). 5. Good Documentation & Communication skills. 6. Good Troubleshooting skills. 7. Ability to work alone and with a team. 8.
