Assists with first and second level support of a continuously operational production environment. 4-6 years Why is this role open? What need will this worker fill? This position is to support new Citrix environment being built to provide 500+ virtual desktops to Nestle alliance partners. Resource will be required for 18 months while Nestle transition is going on and new Citrix environment is live. What does a typical work day entail? What are the daily tasks/responsibilities/deliverables? • Provides technical support/system administration for large enterprise Citrix environment with components such as NetScaler, XenDesktop, XenApp, and Microsoft Application Virtualization. • Analyzes performance data to provide capacity planning and resource utilization information in support of operational processes. • Analyzes, plans, tests, documents and implements regular, advanced or special maintenance activities of system hardware and software to meet service level agreements with user groups. • Provides third-level production support for Citrix environment, including after-hours on-call support. Day to day get tasks from the Lead, managing the cloud apps, Citrix environment. The reason they have this need is for Nestle they had to create a new environment where Starbucks partners are converting to Nestle partners. They need more support on their team for this new transition. Typical Day in the Role Start & end dates Daily schedule & OT expectations Typical task breakdown and rhythm Interaction level with team Work environment description Chance for flex hours or remote Chance for extension later Will also take on other Citrix opportunities for the team, not just for the Nestle team. Citrix is the big part of the team. Regular working hours, sometimes there are after work hour hours needed, there are some on call responsibilities. No overtime is expected. Some flex hours and remote eventually if they can prove themselves. There will be tickets that come to the que and there will be defined tasks, the team meet on Monday and decide the tasks for the week that need to be completed and who will start with what. Its all prioritized, this person will need to be able to not sit with one tasks if its stuck, they need someone who is always getting the next tasks and completing them in a timely manner.
