A&F IT oversees and provides all the IT application support for these agencies to ensure their IT operations are running effectively and efficiently. A&F IT provides IT services to the Department of Revenue including the Child Support Enforcement (CSE) Division. About the Role: The Data Architect will be responsible for designing data architectures to address business and application needs, work with the development team to "optimize" code and queries, work with database administrators to troubleshoot performance problems and prepare physical database changes using IBMs InfoSphere Data Architect product. The candidates for the Data Architect position will be responsible for: • Design, implement and maintain the data solutions and models to store and retrieve data • Reviewing submitted data model Database Change Requests (DBCRs) for adherence to database standards and best practices • Completing technical peer reviews of DBCRs written by others to ensure correct logic and to avoid unintended data corruption; • Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements • Optimize new and current database systems Preferred Qualifications: The Data Architect must have experience with: • Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role • Identifying and resolving data issues and risks affecting the application; • In-depth understanding of database structure principles • IBMs InfoSphere Data Architect or similar tool; • Multiple data warehouse/BI related technologies including Rational Data Management, dimensional warehouses, scripting, reporting tools, and Oracle SQL tuning; • Interpreting conceptual, logical, and physical ER modelling and dimensional data models; • Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques • One or more Systems Development Life Cycle methodologies; • Good written and verbal communication skills • Advanced SQL and PL/SQL; • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities • Outstanding problem solver   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
