The Data Warehouse Developers role is to develop and maintain reporting databases using various platforms, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle 18c, SAP HANA, ensuring high levels of data availability. They will also evaluate and advise on database technology components, such as software, hardware, and networking. Finally, the developer will assist in implementing and maintaining reporting dashboards across the organization. Team receives miscellaneous requests for data changes and they do not have the team resources to support these requests. This individual will be required to learn the current data architecture and have the ability to provide support where needed. Source data consists mainly of SQL Server, but there is also some Oracle and SAP HANA. They are transitioning to a Snowflake schema, and this person will assist in that transition where they can. What are the top 3 MUST HAVE requirements of the position (years exp, technical, etc.)? 3-5 years of SSIS- team works on existing standard SSIS templates Tableau and Business Objects Reporting knowledge (need to extract and prepare data for report development). They have a separate reporting resource/team. Additional reporting is done in SSRS and Power BI but these are not as common/vital for this team or role. This individual must have the ability to work independently. There is not a current project manager supporting this role and they need someone who can take ownership of the tasks that need to be completed from start to finish.
