This is one of nine strategic initiatives in a larger program to evolve the way IS delivers value to the business. This position requires proven experience and knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices, and experience managing communications and organizational change. Main responsibilities: Lead/manage project goaled at transforming the way our IS manages Project Lifecycle Utilize a consultative approach to leverage domain knowledge, business acumen, and subject matter expertise to deliver project objectives Employ project management, and change management methodologies/practices to effectively deliver project objectives Establishes and executes project plans, risk management plans, and other project management processes and procedures Form strong relationships and work collaboratively with multiple areas across the enterprise to standardize and simplify project management processes and standards Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Project Management Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare experience Depth and breadth of experience and knowledge of project management concepts and processes, can demonstrate skills in situations with a large number of variables and high-level of complexity Strong analytical skills (both quantitative and non-quantitative) Solid influencing and conflict management skills ability to reach tangible, quantifiable results with or without direct authority Ability to work effectively in a matrix and unstructured environment Willingness and desire to learn High intellectual curiosity, self-starter, drive, and proven determination to achieve stated goals Strong writing and presentation skills Ability to handle multiple priorities and to build a strong network and relationships Displays consistent flexibility, resilience, and resourcefulness Demonstrates courage and self-confidence in dealing with issues and in broadly communicating information across the organization Understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, SCRUM, RUP, Waterfall Knowledge of project management best practices. Certification as a Project Manager Professional (PMP) is desired Solid Project management experience in software development and business planning across the full project lifecycle (planning, requirements definition, design, build, and deployment).
