The position will be responsible for performance regular housekeeping, Change Management and Disaster Recovery for our database activity monitoring server environments, with a specific focus on Imperva SecureSphere administration and configuration. This is not a developer position though understanding and abilities gained through database development experience is a plus. This is a large dynamic team, supporting Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and OpenEdge Progress databases. Position Responsibilities: Provides technical support for complex database activity monitoring environments to ensure maximum performance, availability and upgrades. Support of Imperva SecureSphere gateway appliances. Support of Imperva SecureSphere agents on database servers Assisting in the generation of reports and alerts from the SecureSphere environment Familiar with Imperva exporting utility. The successful candidate will be working on trouble shooting issues reported by database compliance staff (reactive), as well as, taking responsibility for reviewing and analyzing areas of improvements within the system/application and addressing upcoming needs for upgrades, addressing potential problems within application and improvements (proactive). The ideal candidate will have excellent trouble shooting and people skills, while possessing the ability to identify areas that need improvement through their knowledge and experience of supporting RedHat environments. Training for Imperva SecureSphere will be provided. Identifies application and/or hardware/OS problems. Participates in writing and updating Business Continuity Plan (disaster recovery) and troubleshooting documents. Assesses changes for risk to production systems and assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years RedHat middleware support experience 8+ years supporting IT environments Effective verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate information technology concepts Effective interpersonal skills, with all levels of management, staff, vendors, contractors, and consultants Preferred Skills Imperva SecureSphere experience a BIG PLUS Strong scripting skills a plus Bachelors degree in management information systems, computer science or equivalent experience preferred Knowledge of VMWare a plus Knowledge of database technologies (specifically SQL Server and/or Oracle) a plus Knowledge of data compliance and security a plus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
