The solution architect will possess (or amass) a deep understanding of departmental and line-of-business (LoB) business needs and long-term goals. Qualified candidates will be able to clearly articulate the benefits and relevance of the concepts, products and technologies related to solution architecture to a diverse audience and ensure the solution architecture is aligned with established domain and enterprise architecture. Utilizes strong consultative skills when working with business and project leadership. Solution Architect Responsibilities ? Regularly leads the architecture of critical importance to the enterprise; those projects that carry substantial consequences of success or failure ? Artfully constructs solutions that reuse Shared/Common Services or establishes Services that are reuasble (Service Oriented Approach) ? Contributes to the application portfolio management and roadmap for the LoB ? Having wide-ranging experience, uses Enterprise Architecture concepts and objectives to resolve the most complex issues involving business needs ? Has responsibility for the creation and maintenance of strategy and roadmap for the LoB, connecting it to the enterprise portfolio, and ensuring the alignment with the architecture domains ? Has the ability to utilize capabilities that span (multiple) diverse technology platforms ? Exercises judgment in the selection of the best methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining optimal results ? Demonstrates a solid understanding of business application software, business practices and the intersection points of multiple architecture/technology domains ? Works with architecture peers to ensure UC IT processing achieves highest levels of Confidentiality, Integrity and Access (CIA) ? Provides guidance and technical support (developing, coaching and assisting technical team members) for a series of multi-year projects that will upgrade and transform UCs legacy financial, planning, procurement, and expense management solutions to Oracle Cloud Financials ? Collaborates with our System Integrator (Huron Consulting) to design and implement key technical deliverables including data, archive, interface/integration, report, governance, upgrade, and support strategies ? Identifies project technology risks and communicates credible scenarios/feasibility issues to project and senior management ? Collaborates with enterprise teams to ensure technical deliverables meet UC technology, security and supportability standards, policies, frameworks, and controls ? Perform other duties as assigned Skills and Experience ? 7+ years of experience designing and developing information technology architectures across large, complex enterprise environments ? 5+ years of progressively more responsible hands-on application, interface and data conversion development ? 5+ years of technical leadership experience designing Oracle e-Business Suite Financials implementations ? Expert knowledge of applications programming, database, infrastructure, information management, and system-wide business processes and strategic goals ? Strong experience with enterprise data integration and management, including hands-on experience with at least a couple of middleware technologies ?
