Description :

SCOPE OF WORK
The Contractor shall provide Computer Hardware Support Services on-site at SMUD Business Technology Department on a as-needed basis to provide technical installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of SMUD equipment including, but not limited to, server and desktop hardware, mobile data terminals (hardened laptops, data modems, GPS, and associated devices), printers, scanners, UPS, power distribution units, and the supporting software to manage said equipment. The Contractor will be providing hands-on production support to SMUD field forces that use the mobile data terminals (MDT) in their trucks. Experience with mobile hardware configurations and mobile application integration is required. Printer and scanner troubleshooting and maintenance experience is necessary, including being able to remove and replace internal assemblies. Certifications on these skills is highly desired, including Microsoft professional certifications, HP printers and servers, Panasonic Toughbooks, and Lenovo desktops and laptops. Experience in Altiris Help Desk, Asset, and Deployment are highly desirable.
2.3. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
The Contractors key personnel who will be assigned to the project must have a minimum of five (5) years of recent computer hardware experience in servers, printers, laptops, desktops, and peripherals, including:
- HP servers, scanners, and printers
- Panasonic Toughbooks, vehicle mounting equipment, and mobile outage management software
- Microsoft operating systems (XP, Win7, Server 2K3 & 2K8..
