Note: Maximum 1 Response / Per Vendor Note: Email Submission Note: Vertical: 5.0 Application Development Classification: Senior Programmer Submission Deadline: 5/21/2019 5:00 PM PST Start Date: 8/1/2019 End Date: 6/30/2019 Client: California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) Description: PROJECT SCOPE/TASKS The scope of this project encompasses the following tasks: • Design robust, enterprise-class technical solutions to business problems. • Provide technical oversight to developers and other technical staff on application integration projects. • Enhance, maintain, and support code libraries to simplify common tasks and provide consistent services for developers. • Develop and unit test the needed Java components according to interface design specifications and development standards. • Support testing of these components through various testing phases, including system testing and customer acceptance testing. • Work with team members to ensure that the developed products and components work together to meet the objectives and performance goals as defined by the requirements. • Participate in team reviews of design artifacts and code, make changes as required, and recommend alternative solutions where appropriate. • Provide support as needed for related architecture enhancements, defect fixes, and deployments. • Follow established processes for configuration and release management to ensure that all project artifacts are managed, integrated, and versioned according to standards. • Attend project, staff, and management meetings as required. • Provide transition support as needed. • Provide status reports as required. KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER On an ongoing basis until the end of the contract termination, all work products and deliverables shall be discussed with the manager and all the information shall be documented and be placed in a repository. The consultant will work individually and collectively with team members to ensure that the team member have the necessary knowledge to support and maintain the solutions developed by the consultant. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Senior Programmer: Functions at the expert level under the general direction of the project manager or technical leader, designing the logic for and writing lines of code of a computer program. Can act in a lead capacity on complex projects or can work independently or on a team as a high level technical specialist. • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming; at least three (3) years of said experience shall have included responsibility on a project basis for analyzing operational methods and developing computer programs to meet desired results, at least two (2) years of said experience must have been at a high level both technically and in measure of responsibility. • Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience with knowledge of electronic computer programming; electronic data processing equipment and its capabilities; principles and techniques of studying work processes for new or revised electronic computer applications; principles of designing methods of processing data; technical report writing; statistical methods. • Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience writing complex programs and developing detailed program specifications; analyze data and situations, reason logically and creatively, identify problems, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions. • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in communicating effectively in writing. • Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience developing, maintaining and enhancing complex an   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
